Meet Dex. He is a 6 to 10 month old chocolate lab mix.  I prefer to call these dogs All American Shelter dogs.  Since we really don’t know their heritage they are All American. And in Dex’s case he is an all American GREAT puppy. Besides being so handsome Dex is very smart too. He already knows sit and does that automatically whenever he sees a treat or his food bowl. He knows down, we are working on leave it and look at me. He is eager to learn and does so quickly. 

For a puppy he is quite calm. He has been playing very nicely with our 3 year old sheep dog and respecting the space of his other foster sisters when they tell him to back off.  So he has very good play skills and really is a very balanced dog. 

He loves his toys and is very happy to play by himself so he is not a demanding type dog. Though he does like to snuggle on your lap.  He will give you a kiss or two also especially when you ask for one. 

He is crate trained and house trained. Though being a pup he may still have an accident now and then. 

Dex is a super good boy and will make a great family pet. He would like a family that has a fenced yard and maybe a playmate to be his friend.
