Hi, my name is Shira; named after an ancient goddess of Egypt. I have come all the way from Egypt to find my forever home in Iowa.  I love to play with my humans!  I have lots of energy and would love a big yard to run in with a fence. I can be very goofy when I am in my playful mood. Since I am young I do jump up and be nippy when I am excited. I get along with other dogs, sometimes I just need a slow interaction and time-outs in my kennel if I get too rambunctious.  My foster home has cats and sometimes I get the urge to run after one.  I also like to check out their food when I can be sneaky.  I like kids, it might not be good if I am around toddlers because I can get pretty excited and forget I am not supposed to play with them. I am very hesitant with new people in and out of my home.  Slow and numerous interactions need to occur before I am comfortable.  The most important thing, I need a tall fence otherwise I try to climb and get over the fence.
