You've probably heard oil referred to a "black gold." Well, here's another form of black gold! Rylee the dog looks like a black golden retriever! Rylee is likely a black lab and golden retriever mix, and that shuffling of Momma's and Daddy's genes produced a very handsome, silky-coated boy who looks very much like a golden retriever that's been dyed black. To borrow a phrase from Chuck Berry, he's very much "a brown-eyed handsome man!" Rylee's average sized for a lab or golden, tipping the scales at 58 lbs. He's a young, active fellow, two years old, and would be a good match for an active family or single. He also gets along well with other dogs and wouldn't mind sharing his adoptive family with a doggy brother or sister. Rylee hasn't been a house dog, so he hasn't spent tons of time around people. This makes him a little shy, but he warms up quickly and should come out his shell when placed in a loving forever home. Despite his young age, Rylee is well-traveled. He came to eastern Iowa from a high-kill shelter in Kansas, flying to Iowa through the Pilots for Paws program. He would love to put down roots in a nice loving home like yours. Rylee is up to date in his vaccinations and has been neutered.
