Introducing Handsome Nicholas... a stunning sold Black Domestic Shorthair!    Nicholas has been living in a foster home for several months now and he's learning what it's like to live with humans and adapting to having love and attention!   His guess-timated birthday is 7/31/2020.  He lived in house previously, but didn't have any real interaction with people before being rescued, but he has come a long way and is starting to enjoy being part of a family!  Nicholas always seem to look like he has an 'attitude', but having lived in a whole different world previously, he probably has his guard up!  We believe once they get into a home of their own and feel safe, their true personalities will blossom!  He enjoys playing with toys and really love laying by the door where he can watch bugs, birds and squirrels!!

 

* A Note from Nicholas' foster Mom *  

 

Calvin and Nicholas are foster brothers who would love to be adopted together into a loving home.   They have been in the same foster home for a year, and they love to run and play together and are best buds!   Nicholas will be 2 July 26th and Calvin will be 2 August 15th - so they are only about 2 weeks apart in age!

 

When Mr. 'black panther' Nicholas walks into a room, he is so majestic and elegant. He has such a presence about him. Calvin on the other hand can sometimes be like a bull in a china shop.   Nicholas came to my foster home in January of 2021 and Calvin in April of 2021.  Nicholas is on the shy side and Calvin brings out the playfulness in him and Nicholas is a calming force for Calvin who is very outgoing.

 

Neither one of them really like to be held much. Nicholas is food driven, so if you have food he will be right there. Calvin likes to be held for 3 minutes and that’s about it. Neither of them are lap cats at the moment, but who knows ~ with the right family, anything can happen!

 

Both have come so far in their lives. Nicholas can from a situation with mean people who mistreated him and his sisters, and Calvin recovered from an illness.   Neither of them have been around dogs, only cats. They have been around young children, but I think older kids would be best for both of them. They both really need a calm, patient, caring, loving, nurturing family.

 

They are both completely vetted... Neutered, UTD on FVRCP vaccinations and Rabies vaccination, they are both NEG/NEG for Feline Leukemia and FIV,  have been treated for parasites with Revolution, and they are microchipped!  Our microchips come with a FREE registration, and they also have a FREE LIFETIME registration, too!  

 

Their individual adoption fees are $85.00 each - BUT... adopt these two buddies together and we'll give you a $25.00 discount!   You can't beat the price of $145.00 for adopting these pair of buddies!   'Until there are none, please adopt one: So they aren't blue, why not adopt two?'

 

You can apply for them by filling out our online through the Last Hope Animal Rescue website at www.adopthope.org.   They are currently residing in the Waterloo, IA Petsmart Store, located at 1506 Flammang Dr. next door to Hy-Vee.  Hours are 9-9 Monday-Friday and 10-7 on Sunday.
