SAY HELLO TO…    Jerry & Ben!!

Jerry is a marvelous BROWN MARBLED TABBY - with stunning markings - which sure indicates he may just have some Bengal in his bloodline!   The marking on the top of his head almost looks like a reptile - WOW!  His sidekick, Ben, is an extremely handsome BLACK cat... do you know black cats are the last to be adopted?   He's a HAWKEYE kitty - look at those GOLD EYES!

They are not blood related, but were both born in early April 2021 and raised as kittens together in a LHAR foster home… they are about 1.5 years old now.   They were adopted together and recently returned due to no fault of their own.

As kittens, they were lovingly cared for by their foster mom and had their resident cats to interact with.   They were just little tykes back then, but my-oh- my ~~ they sure have grown!   Ben weighs in right at 10# but  Jerry could perhaps stand to lose a little weight as he is a BIG boy at 16#.

They are now residing in another foster home and are settling in nicely.   They are cautious as you can imagine, as being surrendered from the family they were adopted into - with several kids - was quite different from the quiet home they are now living in.

Jerry is a STUNNING gentleman!  His marble markings are worth more than just a look - you will be THRILLED to see his amazing markings!  Jerry is a bit shy and likes to let Ben lead the way.  If not adopted together, Jerry will need time to adjust on his own time.  We're sure he will once again enjoy pets and lots of lovin' once he gets over his shyness.  

Ben is Mister outgoing! He also has his motor going most of the time!  Like most kitties, he loves his treats and LAPS.  He would love to be adopted with his buddy, Jerry.  Ben leads the way and he will adjust to a new home quickly - especially if adopted with Jerry.  Ben will be VERY helpful for Jerry, which will help him to adjust.  They are both quite playful in the spare bedroom in their new foster home, and are beginning to venture out into the rest of the house to explore. 

They are completely vetted: neutered, just had their FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations updated, they are negative for Feline Leukemia,   they are microchipped and both boys were given Revolution - an overall parasite treatment for ear mites, fleas, hookworms, roundworms and heart worms!

Their adoption fee is $85.00 each but we’d love to see them adopted as a pair since they have lived together their entire lives.   LHAR gives a $25 discount when adopting a pair of kitties - making their adoption fee only $145 for the pair of them!

They are being fostered in Waterloo, IA.  You can apply for them online through our Last Hope Animal Rescue website at  www.adopthope.org.  Last Hope requires all animals in the adopters home must be spayed/neutered, UTD on all required vaccinations and be kept as indoor pets only in order to be approved.
