Hello Candy Lovers! If you love sweets, check out this adorable litter of 5 kittens who were born to the sweetest mama kitty ever... which is how their names were chosen! Mama Rose was taken into Last Hope Animal Rescue from a neighborhood who had people shooting at her with a soft pellet gun, which was scaring her to death! A young couple who lived in that area had recently adopted a kitty from LHAR so she contacted a foster mom in Waterloo to see if we could somehow help this beautiful cat, and thankfully we are able to take her in! On 3/2/23 she finally went into labor and she had a hard time delivering her first kitten, but the other four made followed quickly behind as they made their appearances in rapid succession! The three little male kittens were named Butterfinger, Heath, and Whatchamacallit ; the two little female kittens were named Skittles and Bit-O'-Honey ... how SWEET is that?? And they truly live up to their names! Whatchamacallit... the 4th born kittens... OMGosh... Whatchamacallit is 'the mouth' of the group! He's ALWAYS got something to say and he will make sure you are paying attention, too! When it is can food time, he is THE FIRST to come a'running! Again, he will be on your lap or snuggle right up next to you for lottsa lovin'! They have all been around cats in their foster home; and occasionally a dog may visit once and awhile, but they haven't been around very small kids ~ however, at their young age, with proper introduction and time to get used to the sights, sounds and smells in a new home - they should be just fine! They are playful and love to bat toys around and chase stuff! We feel it is in their best interest to be adopted together as they have strong bond now since they were socialized in the same home. It is always best to adopt kittens in pairs if there are no other pets in the home as kittens can get into a lot of mischief if they don’t have another furry friend to rough and tumble with. We strongly believe adopting a pair of kittens is the best option to having a happy household, and Last Hope Animal Rescue gives you a $25 discount if you adopt a pair of kittens together, too! " Until there are none, please adopt one; So they aren't blue, why not adopt two? (author unknown) They were 14-weeks old on 6/9/2023. On 6/14/23, they were all neutered or spayed and were given their Rabies vaccination; previously these (5) bonded littermates were previously vetted with the following: they've had 3 FVRCP vaccinations; they tested NEG for Feline Leukemia (their mama Rose tested Neg/Neg for FeLK & FIV); have been given dewormer and Revolution - an overall internal/external parasite treatment, and they are microchipped! Our microchips have a free lifetime registration but you'll always want to keep all of your information ... name, address, phone numbers and email address current; so if your kitty is ever missing, you have a better chance of getting he/she back home. Their adoption fee is $100 each, which is a bargain for all the vetting they will have had done... but remember... Adopt a pair together and the adoption fee is only $175 for the pair! They are fostered in a Waterloo foster home, and will be available for adoption on 6/19/23, barring anything unforeseen! We can make arrangements for you to meet them ahead of time, once you are approved to adopt! You can apply for these adorable kittens online through our Last Hope Animal Rescue website at www.adopthope.org. You must be pre-approved to adopt; a LHAR volunteer will meet you at the store after your application is approved so you can spend time with your potential new family member. Applicants must be 21 years old; all animals in the potential home must be spayed or neutered, be UTD on all required vaccinations and kept as inside pets only in order for your application to be approved.
