Say HELLO to this very sweet & loving kitty... TULIP!  She is a shorthaired Light Brown Tabby who was found wandering around in a small rural Iowa town ~ and no one had any idea where she came from... so they assumed she was another kitty who was just 'dropped off' to fend for herself :(  Rather ironic she just so happened to have 'chosen' to wander on to the driveway belonging to the home of a cat rescuer? God works in heartwarming ways... and Tulip wasn't afraid to approach the home owner... in fact, she was walking up the driveway, meowing a 'Hello' greeting as if to say.. Hey!  Can you please help me??   So when no one claimed her, they did the right thing... took her to be spayed and vetted so she didn't add to the population in their small town!

We guesstimated her age to be about 2 years old.  If you look closely at her fur coat... it appears to be a lot lighter in color than most brown tabbies, which is kinda unique!

She has a very friendly and soft meow, and she purrs easily and LOVES to work her little paws 'making biscuits' on anything soft, fluffy and squishy (which could include a human :)  She was fine with the dogs in the couple's home and has lived with other kitties before.  You'll notice Tulip has an ear tip... which is just part of her 'story.'  Cats you see with a tip of their left ear  removed is a sign the cat has been spayed or neutered.  Not knowing for sure if she was truly friendly and adoptable, like most of the kitties they trap, they are ear tipped just in case they must be released back outside.

Tulip's adoption fee is $85.00.  She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped!    You can apply for Tulip online through the Last Hope Animal Rescue website at www.adothope.org.   Applicants must be at least 21 years old; all pets in the home must be up-to-date on all required vaccinations, have a history of yearly exams with their veterinarian, and must be kept as indoor pets only.
