This hunky, tri-pod, buttered biscuit is looking for a lap for the holidays. Could you be the one? Morris is an approximately 5-year-old sweetie that gets along fabulously with any human he meets. He is patient and easy-going with children, but would be a better fit with older children who understand that he isn’t real comfortable being picked up or carried around. While not a huge fan of being picked up because of his missing leg and feeling unsafe “up high”, this guy seeks out laps and once he finds one, he’ll happily trill away, gaze up at you with his adoring, gorgeous eyes, and keep your lap warm on a frosty winter’s eve for as long as you will let him. He’s a super-chill guy, and he has gotten along with a variety of feline characters he has met at his foster home. It’s fairly safe to say that Morris will likely bond with any other cats in his new home. However, we recommend slow and proper introductions of new cats into any household. Please ask us for tips on how to do this! Morris is best buds with his fellow foster brother Harry, a handsome ebony sweet pea (also around 5 years old) with a story all his own (see photos of these two together). Harry and Morris often head-boop each other and are often seen brushing up against and cuddling with each other. We think they must be like brothers from another mother. It would be a Christmas miracle if these two bonded guys could be adopted together! A bit on the sedate side, Morris does have his kitten-ish moments and loves catnip, wand toys, and batting crinkle balls around when he’s feeling frisky. Occasionally, him and his bud Harry exchange playful swats, but it’s always in good fun and no one ever gets ruffled by it. Morris is currently a little on the chonky side, so a home where he gets ample play-time and careful meal portions would be really good for him, and help ensure he lives a long and healthy life. Morris appears to be easily intimidated by dogs, but he might warm up to an easy-going, chill dog that totally respects his bubble and would never do anything like harass or chase him, as this would really terrify him. He will run and hide when he hears a dog barking nearby. A home without dogs would probably be best for Morris. Morris is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, and has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. His adoption fee is $85. This covers his neuter, current vaccinations, FeLV/FIV test, microchip, deworming, and monthly flea treatments. Last Hope requires that all cats be kept current on vaccinations and are *indoor* pets only. If you are interested in meeting this sweet and gentle hunk, please fill out an application on our website.
